Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDISH Wireless is seeking a Wireless Engineering & Operations Manager with solid wireless telecommunications knowledge.
This role will oversee engineering, operations, and compliance for key regulatory services provided on DISH's mobile network.
This Manager will oversee a team of engineers who design, deploy, and manage emergency solutions on DISH's mobile network including - but not limited to - E911, Location-Based Services (LBS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), and STIR/SHAKEN (ST/SH).
Prior experience in managing regulatory programs is highly desirable, but not a requirement.
This role is a strategic part of our business and presents a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with almost every business unit within DISH.
This role reports to the Head of Regulated Services for DISH Wireless.
Day-to-day job
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of engineers and data analysts responsible for executing the strategic plan and compliance of regulatory programs such as E911 Emergency Services and Location-Based Services, or other programs as assigned.
Manage relationships with vendors and government agencies.
Oversee the creation of testing standards, MOPs, and process improvement initiatives.
Communicate and operationalize regulatory agency requirements in a way that maintains compliance and protects the DISH network.
Develop team members through coaching and mentoring.
Develop and maintain SME, collaborative relationships across key organizations.
Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement data/visualization projects that accurately communicate and track performance and compliance.
#LI-SH6 Skills, Experience and RequirementsThe successful Manager will have:
Bachelor's degree in technical field with 6
years of management experience, or 10
years of relevant telecommunications engineering experience.
Relevant technical experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven track record of working with cross functional teams to gain consensus and to establish wireless regulatory roadmaps and guidelines.
Good understanding of 4G and 5G Core and RAN technologies, and RF propagation theory.
Good understanding of 5G - NSA, SA, VoNR.
It is a plus if this candidate also has:
Experience implementing and managing E911, LBS, and emergency location accuracy, including vertical (Z-Axis) accuracy, solutions and/or operating a combination of these regulatory programs.
Understanding of FCC Rulings and Orders related to wireless emergency services.
Experience working with PSAPs and/or government agencies.
Salary Range Compensation:
$87,500.
00/Year - $143,750.

The base pay range shown is a guideline.
Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
